Little Kitten With Dwarfism Found Loving Home After Rescued From A Cat Colony

TNR Project, standing for Trap-Neuter-Return, is a 100% group of independent volunteers who help rescue, foster and find new homes for stray cats in San Gabriel Valley, CA. The project has helped hundreds of street/abandoned cats, one of whom was Winky – the little kitten with dwarfism. Winky was rescued out of a cat colony, and after that, she was fostered by the volunteers of the project (Healther and her husband).

She was born with dwarfism, a genetic disorder causing shortened limbs and unusual proportions in humans and animals. It made her look so tiny even though she was two months old. Besides, Winky got some other health issues and needed special treatment. Her poor health didn’t mean that she should be thrown away, but she deserved to be loved in a more special way.

And of course, Heather and her husband loved Winky so much, regardless of her health conditions. She had two friends loving her more than whoever on this planet. One of them is the black dog who played and cared about her like how a father looked after his daughter. Another friend was Griphook, whom she often went wrestling with.

We don’t know exactly how she thought and felt to be a ‘special’ cat with dwarfism. But the way the little kitten enjoyed her life told that she always desired to live a normal life as others. She ate, slept, played, and grew up in the love and care of the volunteers who fostered her. Winky was doing great, but she was still too small to be sprayed.

Therefore, Healther decided to wait for a while so that she could become bigger in size. Finally, because “Time can change everything”, it didn’t take long for the little kitten to become more mature. But her cuteness stayed the same. She always looked like a little angel with the biggest eyes and beautiful white-gray hair.  From the little kitten rescued out of a cat colony, Winky found a great forever home and live happily.
