He is Charlie, a brave kitten who never stops trying every day to win his fate. After being thrown against a wall, Charlie’s back legs became unusable. In addition, a misaligned spine made it even harder for him to move. The young boy had experienced such a difficult time, but thanks to daily practice, he finally could walk, run, climb like a normal cat. The touching story of a paralyzed kitten trying to walk again shows us that “nothing is impossible, as long as we don’t give up”.

After being rescued, Charlie was fostered by Marie. From the first day, he was underweight and extremely starving. The vet recommended euthanizing him, but Marie refused that. She found another vet that agreed to perform a spine surgery for him. As the surgery was successful, the little kitten started his physical therapy. In the beginning, everything seemed to be very challenging to Charlie. Without additional help, he could hardly walk on his own. Moreover, a mystery illness kept him in the ICU room for the next one week until his condition became better.

After that, Magie took him home and continued his therapy. At that time, his back legs were nearly impossible to use. Most of his movements depended on the front legs which dragged his whole body. But the little kitten chose not to give up. He kept practicing on a regular basis while getting acupuncture and laser therapy at the same time. The practice made him gradually better at walking day by day.

After one month, he started walking on his own, although the steps looked very weak and shaky. At that time, he was making great progress. The kitten looked chubbier, perhaps he received the best care and love from his foster mother. After all, Marie could dream of the day when Charlie was able to walk on his legs again. Charlie is an active boy. He enjoyed playful days with Marie and other furry friends at the house. Day 35, he made an amazing transformation to be able to walk and run easily. But Marie would like to train him to jump. At first, Charlie learned how to jump through stairsteps, because it could be easier for him. Later on, he managed to jump onto higher positions such as a sofa or a bed. On day 55, the little boy could run so fast. He also grew up quickly.

As Charlie became older, he didn’t stop at walking or jumping but continued with climbing. At that time, his back legs recovered amazingly, and the aligned spine no longer made him lose balance or fall down. Eventually, Charlie became the winner in fighting against his fate. He is now a healthy cat having the ability to walk, run, jump and climb. He has a good mother (Marie) who has done everything to help him. We can be sure that Charlie is living his happiest life.
