Maybe none of us would expect something bad to come into our lives. This dog (Altai) is the same. He never thinks that one day, he would be driven to the boundaries of surviving or passing away. But that bad thing happened. He was hit by a car running on the road. The woman causing the accident didn’t even take responsibility for what she had done but continued to drive. Altai was left alone amid the carelessness of passersby. But a man decided to take action to save him.

Reaching the vet, Altai was immediately taken to the emergency room. He could hardly breathe. The X-rays showed that he suffered a traumatic brain injury and a complete rupture of the spinal cord. Altai looked very painful and miserable. Meanwhile, the man felt shocked after knowing his life-threatening condition. The doctors said that Altai needed a particular intensive treatment.

That night, the poor dog suffered from a high fever, but luckily, his temperature went down the next morning. Two days after the accident, Altai continued breathing with oxygen. The ultrasound scans on his body showed that his left thyroid lobe was progressing negatively. He also got worse pulmonary bleeding and darker urine. At that time, Altai was still unable to move, but he could eat a little. So the man fed him with a syringe.

Based on his condition, the doctors claimed that it would take much time and effort for Altai to recover from those severe injuries. The clinic staff had their hearts broken to see the dog in that critical condition. But the doctors would try their best so that Altai could get over it.

Sadly, the situation didn’t improve. On the fifth day, Altai went on an urgent surgery because of his poor health. Every two hours, he urinated incontinence. The doctors had to inject mediation and change his infusion tube regularly. The man was very nervous. He spent all night staying with the poor dog, even not a minute away from him, until he got over from the dangerous situation. After the surgery, Altai was taken back to the rehabilitation room.

On day 10, his condition got a slight improvement, but he was still painful and very weak. Altai tried to get up, but it seemed to be too early. The pain in his back tortured him, making it difficult for him to breathe. Luckily, the doctors appeared in time to save him. They informed the man that Altai would never be cured entirely. From the first day, the man knew that it wouldn’t be easy for Altai to recover, but he would never give up to save him.

As he had promised, the man tried his best so that Altai could receive the best treatment at the vet. He gave the dog special care and love. Perhaps his love motivated Altai to try harder for his recovery. After 80 days, Altai could be happy again. Although he needed a prosthetic leg to run and move, Altai became the happiest dog to live in the best care and love of the man. He no longer had to suffer from the pain or heartless people who behaved cruelly to him.
