Stunning Pictures Of Artist Placing Characters From Classical Paintings Into Modern-Life Backdrops

Alexey Kondakov is an artist based in Ukraine who is going on a series called The Daily Life of Gods, in which he superimposes characters from classical paintings onto modern-life backdrops. He finds the other artists’ artworks on the internet and combines them with his taken photos, and the results are surprisingly stunning. The oil-rendered historic or celestial characters might be placed in mundane scenes such as stores, car parks, backyards, roadsides, or on public transports, and somehow they were unexpectedly fit as if they really belonged there.

With his masterly knowledge of photo manipulation, Kondakov created well-balanced images that are eye-catching and also valuable. You’ll certainly fall in love with his amazing artworks at the first sight. Gods, muses, ethereal beings from old times vibrantly appear in our daily situations, how cool and fresh just imagining that. Check the pictures out to admire Kondakov’s amazing creations.

If you love his works, you can keep track of his series with constantly new updates on Instagram.
