Cat Having Leg Amputated By The Fence Was Rescued And Helped To Find New Home

The animal lover community around the world always has a special love for animals. Hundreds of organizations have been established to rescue and provide help to vulnerable animals including stray cats and dogs. Among those, Hope For Paws is one of the animal organizations working to save street cats and dogs in California, America. One day, they received an urgent call about a cat with her injured leg. Quickly, Katie McKittrick rushed to the rescue location to save the cat.

As Katie was told, the little cat had been caught on a chainlink fence, which caused a severe injury to one of his legs. A kind Samaritan had taken care of her until Katie (the rescuer) arrived. She kept the poor cat in a cage to restrict her movements that could affect the injury. When the rescuer opened the cage, she saw the cat lying motionless with her wounded leg. The cat looked very tired and painful. She couldn’t even move but kept purring plaintively. It was important to understand that purring didn’t always mean happiness.

Later on, Katie put the cat in a carrier and took her to the vet so that she could receive medical care. She was named Posey. At the vet, the doctors were shocked after removing the bandage on her injury. Half of Posey’s leg was amputated by the fence and the injury was bleeding so hard. To save her life, the doctors had no choice but to amputated the rest of her leg. By looking at her eyes, Katie could understand how much pain she had been suffering.

On the same day, Posey went on a surgery to remove her injured leg. As the surgery was successful, she had to learn to live with only three legs. It was such an enormous loss, but the brave cat never felt depressed. She tried to overcome it and soon, the clever cat got adapted to her new life. After that, Posey was adopted by a kind person who gave her special care and love. At her new family, she made friends with another furry cat, and very quickly, they became close friends. Finally, we can be happy that Possy is very satisfied with her current life.
