Any animal deserves to know how love and care feel like, but that seems to be just a dream for this poor little dog. Her name is Barbie, a homeless soul who used to live in sickness and hunger near a freeway. Thanks to the help of Hope For Paws, she finally found a home that loves and cares for her in the way she deserves.

Hope For Paws received a call about Barbie on a sunny day. Immediately, the rescue team including Loreta, Toi and Eldad drove to the freeway to rescue the poor dog. The homeless dog was living in an enclosed area near the busy road, so the first step, the rescuers checked the fence for any holes or rescue routes. There was only one way out, so they had to close it with a football net to prevent the dog from running away.

After that, Eldad started to chase the dog to the corner where Loreta had already waited to grab her with a net. Teamwork was effective, the rescuers could easily catch the dog on their first try. Being captured by the control net, the miserable creature frantically screamed and tried to find a way to escape. That wasn’t what she wanted to do, but she didn’t know to do anything else. The poor dog was in terror.

The rescuers waited a while until she calmed down, and fondled the poor dog to reassure her. After that, they took the dog to their car and drove her to the vet for a health checkup. Barbie turned out to be a really cute and sweet girl. She was checked for diseases and given a bath at the vet. Receiving the love and care from the rescuers and doctors, the little angel couldn’t feel happier.

A month later, Barbie made an amazing transformation. She was such a playful and obedient girl. She ate, slept and played well. Noticing the rescuers who came for a visit, the little creature wagged her tail to show how excited she felt. Like other dogs, the sweetheart loved being petted by people, because that was how she felt the love and care. We can be happy to see her in safety and happiness.
