Cotton was an abandoned dog getting stuck in a cold stream for hours at night. Amid secluded darkness, the poor puppy thought in hopelessness that it was the last day of his life. But luckily, a kind man found and rescued him, and that was the beginning of a new chapter of Cotton’s life.

Cotton was found in a fast-flowing stream. He looked dirty, sick, and completely exhausted. It was known that he had soaked in it for several hours. Right after spotting him, the man managed to get him out of the cold stream. But it was even harder because the cold water froze his hand. The man thought that the moment he put his hand under the water to save the dog was like a thousand needles piercing his bone marrow. Finally, Cotton was rescued.

Taken out of the stream, his body kept shaking uncontrollably. With life-saving experience, the rescuer quickly wrapped him in a blanket and used the warmth of his body to warm the puppy. After Cotton’s cold had gone, the man gave him a bath. But he realized that Cotton’s body was not only full of dirt but he was also covered by wounds. Immediately, the little puppy was taken to the vet.

At the vet, the doctor checked Corton’s body thoroughly. The result of the physical examination showed that he got hepatitis, anemia, and exhaustion. Based on the X-rays, the vet claimed that Cotton needed urgent surgery to cure his broken hip. That night, the little puppy was injected with anesthetic drugs and went on the emergent operation.

As the surgery was successful, Cotton could finally wake up, but he was still very weak. The poor dog could hardly stand, move or eat anything. Perhaps he was suffering from severe pain as a result of the operation. The man hoped that the little child could get over his bad condition because he already prepared a happier life for him.

On day 10, Cotton made a wonderful recovery. He amazed everyone with a better physical condition and a lifted spirit. The little dog was able to eat well and play with his rescuer. Going out for a sunbath after a long time, Cotton couldn’t feel more excited. He wagged his tiny tail as a way to express how happy he was.

5 days later, Cotton fully recovered. He looked totally different from the night he was found and taken to the vet, dirty and miserable like an old litter. But at the end, a new smile could be seen on his mouth, and a new chapter of best love was brought to his life. The man loved him and he would do everything so that the little dog could receive the best care.
