Northeast Asia Rescue is a nonprofit organization devoted to animal rescue. Every year, they save thousands of animals (mostly cats and dogs) and use their story to inspire both the local community and other people around the world. One day, they received a call about a stray female dog near an overpass. Immediately, some rescuers rushed to the rescue location and save the dog. She was named Sierra after that.

Sierra was a stray dog who had lived near the overpass for a long time. Sometimes, people could find her on the roadside looking for food from passersby. When the rescuers arrived at the location, they noticed that Sierra was a nursing mother dog. She got mild eczema on her abdomen(eczema is a condition where patches of skin become inflamed, itchy, cracked, and rough). Sierra looked very nervous, perhaps she was worried about her babies. Looking at her eyes, the rescuers could understand that she was pleading for them to save the puppies.

Following her lead, the rescuers could figure out where the puppies were. They were living inside a dirty waterway. Sierra wagged her tail, giving a sign that she wanted the rescuers to take her babies out of the pipe. When one of the rescuers (Will) was picking the puppies, the mom dog always stood in front of her puppies. She was very concerned about them. Will intended to let her bring the baby dogs out of the pipe on her own, but she didn’t. Therefore, Will lured her away so that it could be easier for him to rescue the rest of the puppies.

After all, five little babies were taken out of the cramped waterway. They and the mom dog were taken to the organization where they would be fostered after that. Five puppies included three girls (Holly, Willow, Magnolia) and two boys (Alder, Parker). Their mother was such a responsible mom who always thought of her babies and did everything to save them. At the organization, they finally could live a happy life. We can be sure that Sierra and her puppies are in safe and good care.
